Description

Costa Rica is characterized by unpredictable climate conditions, the potential for long dry seasons and strict environmental protection measures, all of which complicate coffee production and lead to very high costs. These same conditions simultaneously encourage competition, pushing Costa Rican producers to innovate as a way of distinguishing themselves from others.

As a result, the country has become a leader in new processing methods for specialty coffees, particularly in the areas of traceability and sustainability. Costa Rican coffees are celebrated for their quality and wide range of flavors and tastes, unique in their organoleptic properties and processing methods.
