I met Lorenzo here in El Salvador 3 years ago. Since then we’ve built an incredible working partnership through Esperanto, giving Italian roasters access to the exceptional lots of coffee my team and I produce here in Finca El Cerro and Finca San Francisco. For me, Direct Trade means a level of traceability and transparency that allows roasters easy access to the logistics behind the operation.

Together with Esperanto we have worked on establishing long term and direct relationships between producers in Honduras and roasters in Italy. I’m happy to say all direct shipments went through as smoothly as planned and that the flexibility, attention to detail and tailor made solutions that Esperanto offers contributed greatly to the success of the operations. This will be the second consecutive year that we ship coffee directly from farmer to specialty roaster in Italy. I’m convinced this is just the beginning of a long term, mutually beneficial business partnership that will surely continue for years.
