What does “Direct Trade” mean?

For us, Direct Trade means creating and nurturing long-term relationships amongst producers and buyers. The details of the purchase are negotiated directly between the buyer and the seller, before Esperanto gets involved with importation and other logistical matters.

Esperanto, therefore, not only functions as a commercial facilitator, but at the same time has the responsibility of managing the exchange of goods accurately and efficiently.

Cooperation and transparency are the pillars of Direct Trade. It is a relationship based on trust, effort and communication from all parties.

How does delivery work?

The buyer can manage the delivery internally, or he can request a quotation from Esperanto. In this case, the cost of transport will be added to the prices indicated on the price list.

How is Direct Trade organized?

Esperanto begins by gathering key details: quantity and quality of the lot, packaging, price and location are all considered and defined before logistics arrangement begins between origin and Italy. Transport occurs by sea to keep pricing competitive.

Do the prices in the price list include transport?

The prices listed in the price list do not include costs from our warehouse to yours. This means that the cost of transport must be added to the € / Kg value indicated in the price list. Please contact our team for a quote!

Is there a minimum order?

There are no minimum order quantities for coffees already commercially available in Europe. In order to develop a Direct Trade business in other cases, the minimum order quantity is one full pallet.

What are the terms of payment?

Esperanto requires payment before delivery for the first two orders. From the third order onwards, we offer 30 days of financing.

Where are your warehouses located?

Our warehouses are all located in Europe, between Genoa, Hamburg and Antwerp. To find out where a specific lot is located, please consult our price list.

Once the order is placed, how long does it take to receive it?

Once the order is placed, the coffee will leave the warehouse after two working days.

For specific information, however, we recommend that you contact our team directly.

How does Esperanto intend to improve the living conditions of coffee producers?

Esperanto purchases lots at a competitive price based on the production cost of each specific plantation. Because our mission is to establish long-term relationships with producers, our rates are extremely fair in order to guarantee a steady and reliable stream of purchases over time, creating the basis for lasting growth.

Furthermore, we collaborate with associations such as Food4farmers, to further improve the living conditions of producers and their families.
